Changes on the Management Board of KRUK S.A.

Changes on the Management Board of KRUK S.A.

On April 30th 2020, KRUK S.A. announced changes in the composition of its Management Board. Agnieszka Kułton, responsible for credit management, resigned from her position as a member of the Management Board, citing health reasons. She will remain in office until May 28th 2020. Concurrently, Piotr Krupa recommended to the Supervisory Board of KRUK S.A. that as of May 29th Piotr Kowalewski join the Management Board of KRUK S.A. Piotr Kowalewski has been working closely with Agnieszka at KRUK for over 16 years, building a shared vision for growing the credit management business. Piotr Kowalewski (age 39) currently serves as a director responsible for managing unsecured retail debt across the Group.

“No time is good for changes like that. The ones we are about to communicate today are well thought-out and justified, and we are well prepared for them. The first piece of news is that Agnieszka has decided to resign from her position as a Management Board Member responsible for Credit Management. After 18 years with KRUK and 14 years on the Management Board, she made a difficult decision to resign for health reasons. What Agnieszka and her team have achieved through hard and consistent work are high-quality and efficient operational processes. I respect Agnieszka’s decision. I understand her, and I’m confident that Piotr Kowalewski, whom I have recommended as a candidate for the KRUK S.A. Management Board to the Supervisory Board today, will continue her vision and her work. Piotr is a seasoned leader with many years of experience in operational processes in Poland and in managing multinational operations,” noted Piotr Krupa, President of the Management Board of KRUK S.A.

A letter of resignation was also tendered by Iwona Słomska, a Management Board Member responsible for PR, Marketing and Human Resources, who will remain in office until the end of July 2020. Her resignation is due to personal reasons and is unrelated to Mrs Kułton’s resignation. Iwona Słomska’s duties will be taken over by other KRUK Management Board Members, and as of August 1st 2020 the Management Board will comprise four members.

“I have other news, and it’s concerning a decision we have made with Iwona Słomska. A certain stage of our working together with Iwona to grow the organisation has come to an end. I appreciate and thank Iwona for the enormous work and commitment she has put into building KRUK over the years. The processes owned by Iwona will be continued without interruption, with the directors ultimately reporting to the respective management board members. We are also enhancing the roles and responsibilities of managers responsible for these functions in local companies,” explained Piotr Krupa. “I strongly believe the decisions made today are good for Agnieszka and Iwona as well as for KRUK. For me, KRUK has been and will always be my job and my passion, the company I founded and want to grow. Michał Zasępa and Urszula Okarma, who have declared even stronger commitment and motivation to further grow KRUK, remain with me on the Board. I hope that Piotr Kowalewski, who has been working closely with the Management Board for years, will join us soon. We have numerous business opportunities and plans ahead of us. Now, of course, we’re going through the coronavirus pandemic and a lot will depend on our business environment, but even more will depend on us,” concluded Piotr Krupa.
