KRUK continues to buy in Poland
KRUK won another auction for a big portfolio from a Polish bank, consisting of consumer and SME cases. The nominal value of the portfolio is PLN 400m, 70% consumer. This is one of the biggest investments made by KRUK on the Polish market in recent years, with price close to the average prices paid for consumer portfolios.
- Since the IPO our investors have appreciated us for reasonable investment policy and maintenance of discipline in debt purchasing. Competitive advantages in this business are built in many aspects – increasing operational effectiveness, good market overview, and easy access to capital. My message is unambiguous – KRUK will be active on the Polish debt purchase market in 2018 and following years - says Piotr Krupa, CEO of KRUK S.A.
In 2017 KRUK invested PLN 977m in new portfolios of receivables on seven markets. Majority of investments KRUK made on the Polish market happened in second half of the year when KRUK invested PLN 230m (out of PLN 275m in whole 2017) in portfolios from Polish banks and other institutions.
