KRUK invests actively in debt portfolios

In Q3 2013, capital expenditure incurred by the KRUK Group to purchase debt portfolios totalled PLN 101m. The Group purchased 20 debt portfolios from financial institutions with a total nominal value of PLN 1.1bn. In comparison, the total value of capital expenditure on debt portfolios purchased by the Group in Q3 2012 was PLN 93m, with the nominal value of the debt amounting to PLN 1.4bn.

“The nominal value of debt purchased by the Group over its entire operating history has now reached PLN 16.9bn. Given that the time horizon for this investments is several years, the purchased portfolios are a very strong foundation for future profits,” said Piotr Krupa, KRUK’s CEO.

Since the beginning of the year, the KRUK Group has invested more than PLN 285m in debt portfolios with a total nominal value of PLN 2.8bn. In 2013, the Group has purchased a total of 46 portfolios on the Polish, Romanian, Czech and Slovakian markets. In the corresponding period of 2012, the Group’s expenditure on debt portfolios was PLN 189m.
