KRUK has announced in a current report today that is has bought a debt portfolio in Spain, with a nominal value of PLN 372m, from a bank of the BNP Paribas Group. As of today, the nominal value of debts purchased or to be purchased by the KRUK Group from BNP Paribas Group companies in the fourth quarter of 2020 totals PLN 816m, including the above transaction and transactions on the Polish and Romanian markets.
‘Our investments are well thought-out, and we are glad to see the debt sale market activity has resumed, albeit mainly in Poland. The final three months of each year tend to be the busiest in terms of auctions and our purchasing activity, and this year is no different. Obviously, the scale of the activity is lower than in prior years, but proportionate to the situation,’ noted Piotr Krupa, President of the Management Board of KRUK S.A. ‘Our latest debt portfolio purchase in Spain comprises mainly unsecured retail cases, just like our purchases in Romania. On the other hand, the portfolios purchased in Poland comprise secured corporate debts. We are happy with the transactions and ready to handle the new cases purchased in Poland, Romania and Spain. This investment is a good summary of the year,’ added Mr Krupa.
Complete data on investments and recoveries for the fourth quarter of 2020 will be published by the KRUK Group by January 10th 2021.
