KRUK returns to investing in Italy
Today, KRUK announced in a current report that it has entered into an agreement to purchase debt portfolios from UniCredit S.p.A. of Milan. KRUK has purchased unsecured retail debt with the nominal amount up to PLN 1.4bn (EUR 304m), including four tranches of debt with the nominal amount of up to PLN 1.1bn (EUR 250m), that will be purchased between June 2021 and March 2022.
“As we have declared before, we are investing in Italy again. We are pleased with this new purchase, especially as it concerns unsecured retail bank claims, which are our specialisation. We have come a long way and today we are operationally well positioned to handle new cases,” commented Piotr Krupa, President of the Management Board of KRUK S.A. “It is an interesting project which combines both a traditional debt portfolio purchase and a forward flow arrangement covering a period of 10 months,” Piotr Krupa added.
Full information about investments in the second quarter of 2021 will be published by KRUK on July 9th 2021.
