KRUK to increase investments in Romania in next two years
KRUK has announced in a current report today that it has entered into agreements to purchase unsecured retail debt portfolios in Romania from UniCredit Consumer Financing IFN S.A. of Bucharest. Under the agreement, debts with a nominal value of up to PLN 225m will be purchased in monthly tranches over the next 24 months.
‘We have been on a success streak this year, including in Romania. We have been present on the Romanian market for 14 years, and I can proudly say we are an undisputed leader in that country. The forward flow agreement we have just signed will provide us with a continuous inflow of unsecured consumer debts over the next two years in our key market,’ explained Piotr Krupa, CEO and President of the Management Board of KRUK S.A. ‘2021 offers prospects of new records for KRUK, with the new agreement with UniCredit bound to drive our investments in 2022 and 2023. I am very pleased with our investments this year, and the present transaction makes our prospects for the future look even better.
Complete data on the investments and recoveries for the fourth quarter of 2021 will be published by the KRUK Group by January 10th 2022.
