KRUK reports strong investments in the first half of 2014 11-07-2014 In the second quarter of 2014, the KRUK Group purchased new debt portfolios with a nominal value of PLN 657m, having paid for them just over PLN 44m. Taken as a whole, the first half of 2014 was one of the best semi-annual periods in the Group's history, with the total expenditure on debt portfolios during the period in excess of PLN 310m, and the nominal value of the acquired debt close to PLN 1.7bn.
“It is with great satisfaction that we inform our shareholders of the strong investments we made in the first half of 2014. The PLN 310m we invested during the period represents more than 85% of our total investment expenditure for the whole of 2013, and exceeds the overall amount invested throughout 2012. These results are chiefly attributable to the deals we reported in late March and early April: the purchase of mortgage debt from Getin Noble Bank for PLN 230m and of a consumer debt portfolio from Santander Consumer Bank for PLN 36m. Also, a number of new auctions have already been announced or are planned for the second half of the year. We will be looking closely at all the portfolios put out for sale, we are not going to lose momentum,” said Piotr Krupa, President of the Management Board of KRUK S.A.
