KRUK successful in the next auction in Poland

KRUK has won another auction to buy two portfolios from one of the biggest banks in Poland. The first portfolio with nominal value of PLN 147m contains consumer cases. The second one is a corporate portfolio with nominal value of PLN 187m. This is the second auction won by KRUK in the past few days. Last week KRUK won a tender to acquire consumer and SME portfolio with nominal value of close to PLN 400m from BGŻ BNP Paribas.

- In terms of investments, it has been one of the best starts of a year in our history. Almost 20 years of operations taught us to remain patient – we have long-term perspective. KRUK will never be a sprinter – we participate in a long-distance run where the most important things are: clear development strategy, strong and effective operations, cash-flow generation, healthy balance sheet – says Piotr Krupa, CEO of KRUK S.A.

Only in the last two tenders in Poland KRUK obtained portfolios of receivables with total nominal value of above PLN 700m.

- Banks appreciate business partners such us – we treat their clients with full respect. Business partners in such transactions can also expect efficient funding from our side – Piotr Krupa adds.

KRUK maintains low level of leverage and has room for further investments. Net-debt-to-equity ratio as of the end of 2017 equaled 1.2x – one of the lowest levels in the industry. The potential of available credit lines is PLN 1.7bn. Additionally, KRUK is an active issuer of 5- and 6-year bonds, maturities reflecting the structure of purchased assets. Nominal value of outstanding bonds is PLN 1.4bn.
