KRUK to acquire debt portfolios from one of the leading financial groups in Italy

Today, KRUK won a tender for the purchase of unsecured retail debt portfolios with a total nominal value of approximately EUR 298 million (PLN 1,256.01 million according to the average NBP exchange rate as of 18 February 2026) from one of the leading financial groups in Italy.

 “We have been investing in the Italian market for 11 years, placing strong emphasis on the development of the local team and the efficiency of our processes. Today’s announcement confirms our leading position in this country and marks a strong start to the new year. The tender concerned the purchase of a one-off debt portfolio with a nominal value of approximately EUR 208 million, as well as around EUR 90 million in nominal value of portfolios that will be acquired in tranches from June to the end of 2026,” comments Piotr Krupa, CEO of KRUK S.A. “In 2025, investments in Italy amounted to PLN 770 million. The importance of this market within the KRUK Group is growing and is in line with the strategy for 2025–2029.”
